About the Role:

This full-time temporary role focuses on the effective monitoring, implementation, and management of flood-related regulations and projects within East Ayrshire. The role aims to contribute to the Council’s key objectives outlined in the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, and Single Outcome Agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and implement statutory regulations and legislation concerning flood management.
  • Conduct flood inspections and assessments.
  • Manage maintenance projects and flood mitigation measures.
  • Promote and integrate flood management initiatives with the Council’s broader objectives.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of flood management regulations and legislation.
  • Experience in project management and delivering flood mitigation projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration within a team.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and supervising teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and tools.

Job Facilities/Benefits:

  • Salary: 47,848 – 52,325 per annum.
  • 35 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm.
  • Office-based role, with flexible workstyle (50-79% office).
  • Temporary role ending December 31, 2025.
