About the Role:
This full-time temporary role focuses on the effective monitoring, implementation, and management of flood-related regulations and projects within East Ayrshire. The role aims to contribute to the Council’s key objectives outlined in the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, and Single Outcome Agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and implement statutory regulations and legislation concerning flood management.
- Conduct flood inspections and assessments.
- Manage maintenance projects and flood mitigation measures.
- Promote and integrate flood management initiatives with the Council’s broader objectives.
Skills and Expertise:
- Strong understanding of flood management regulations and legislation.
- Experience in project management and delivering flood mitigation projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration within a team.
- Proven ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience leading and supervising teams.
- Knowledge of relevant software and tools.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Salary: 47,848 – 52,325 per annum.
- 35 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm.
- Office-based role, with flexible workstyle (50-79% office).
- Temporary role ending December 31, 2025.
- Opportunity to work at different locations or remotely.
