About the Role:

Become a Trainee Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner in Birmingham, supporting adults with severe mental health challenges. This one-year program, in collaboration with the University of Derby, is fully funded and provides a pathway to a permanent Band 5 position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete academic and clinical work throughout the one-year program.
  • Attend all training elements and successfully progress through competency assessments.
  • Develop and practice psychologically-informed interventions under supervision.
  • Support collaborative care planning with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Work alongside mental health professionals to deliver brief wellbeing interventions.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Motivated and highly skilled individual.
  • Experience with adults experiencing severe mental health conditions (desirable).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to the principles of psychological interventions.
