About the Role:
A passionate and creative Art Teacher is sought to inspire and engage students in a new Pontypridd school across Key Stages 3 to 5. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to nurture artistic skills and foster creativity, especially for students with additional learning needs (ALN) and behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties (BESD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Art lessons aligned with the national curriculum (WJEC specification) for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work, ensuring progress and engagement.
- Foster a love for creativity and self-expression.
- Undertake full teaching responsibilities, including classroom management, marking, reporting, and contributing to the wider school community.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inspiring learning environment.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils with ALN and MAT.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience teaching Art, ideally across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Passion for Art and commitment to inspiring creativity in students.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) encouraged to apply.
