About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join a leading healthcare provider in Swindon. The role focuses on providing exceptional care to adult patients with acquired brain injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex patient cases.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans and treatment strategies, emphasizing evidence-based approaches.
- Collaborate with care coordinators, commissioners, families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Liaise with the Ministry of Justice (if applicable) regarding Mental Health Act implementation.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency partnerships.
- Fulfill administrative duties for patient care, ensuring compliance with NHSE contractual obligations and timely discharge summaries.
- Maintain GMC registration and adhere to professional codes of conduct.
- Maintain section 12(2) and approved clinician status.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience working in psychiatry within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Accreditation or pending accreditation in Forensic psychiatry with the GMC.
- Recent appraisal/RITA within the last year.
