About the Role:
We are recruiting a Gastroenterology Specialist Nurse to join our team at Isle of Wight NHS Trust. This role provides specialist nursing support to patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and ensures high-quality care. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist nursing contributions to the clinical management of patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
- Work autonomously and collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals.
- Maintain high standards in gastroenterology services.
- Contribute to improved patient outcomes.
- Develop, implement and maintain clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in departmental audits and research programs.
- Educate and disseminate best practices within the department.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills in nursing and specialist areas of care.
Skills and Expertise:
- Specialist nursing qualifications and experience in gastroenterology or related fields.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in relevant software and IT systems.
