About the Role:

Join our team at HMP Leyhill as an experienced Electrical Supervisor to manage and coordinate a team of electricians and other trades in a secure environment. This role will focus on maintaining the smooth and safe operation of the prison facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of skilled electricians.
  • Coordinate PPM and Reactive Maintenance tasks for electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and industry standards (BS7671).
  • Develop and empower Electrical Engineers.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage staff development, absence, and recruitment processes for electrical team members.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on electrical work.

Skills and Expertise:

  • C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent qualifications.
  • Certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements For Electrical Installations, 18th Edition.
  • 5+ years’ experience in electrical work, preferably in a healthcare, education, military or commercial environment.
  • Proven experience in managing and supervising electrical teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in electrical safety procedures and regulations.
