About the Role:
We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Plumber to join our Facilities Maintenance team at HMP The Verne in Dorset. This role focuses on maintaining critical water systems and ensuring safe operation within the prison environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair water supply systems, heating, and ventilation installations.
- Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulations and Legionella control.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
- Work alongside other skilled trades (electricians, carpenters, etc.).
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
Skills and Expertise:
- Level 3 Plumbing Qualification
- Experience with Water Supply Regulation and Legionella control (L8)
- Experience in commercial/industrial heating and water systems
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
- Strong practical plumbing skills
- Familiarity with C&G qualifications (6189, 5962, 6019, 6018, 6129, 214, 6188, 6088, 6032, EAL Diploma)
