About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Supported Housing Resettlement Officer to assist individuals transitioning from supported housing into independent accommodation in Bournemouth. This role requires strong liaison skills and experience working with landlords and tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals moving on from supported housing to secure suitable independent accommodation.
- Liaise with housing providers, partners, and landlords/agents to secure appropriate housing.
- Promote available services and housing options to clients and provider staff.
- Ensure move-on accommodation is sustainable and meets the long-term needs of clients.
- Support providers with daily move-on procedures, including tenancy sign-ups, benefit applications, utility setup, and furniture/removal arrangements.
- Provide robust housing advice and assistance in line with council policies.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience effectively working with landlords, letting agents, and other accommodation providers.
- Experience working with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or in housing need.
- Proven experience providing excellent customer service.
- Experience working effectively with private sector landlords or within a homelessness context.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and liaison skills.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office or equivalent (e.g., G Suite).
- Full UK driving licence.
