About the Role:
Develop and deliver a heritage project celebrating 150 years of Cambridge Corn Exchange. This role involves researching, identifying, and digitizing archive materials, oral histories, and supporting volunteer researchers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify relevant archive materials about Cambridge Corn Exchange.
- Identify and digitize archive materials for the Cambridge Corn Exchange website.
- Work with and support volunteer researchers.
- Lead the digitization of selected archive items.
- Conduct heritage research for exhibition, digital content, and tours.
- Support community workshops to facilitate discussions on Cambridge Corn Exchange history and record oral histories.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified Archivist
- Archives management experience, including digital system implementation and development
- Experience working with uncatalogued archive collections
- Experience working with volunteers
- Experience recording oral histories
- Experience supporting the development/delivery of heritage exhibitions/displays
