About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Complex Personal Care Assistant to provide comprehensive support to a lady in Dewsbury. This role demands a compassionate and reliable individual to assist with daily tasks and complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care tasks (washing, dressing, etc.).
  • Support with domiciliary duties (meal preparation, cleaning).
  • Administer medication (JEJ tubes, injections, syringe drivers).
  • Provide IV line care (training provided).
  • Participate in social and leisure activities (baking, knitting).
  • Ensure the client maintains a safe and independent lifestyle.
  • Develop a strong rapport based on trust and understanding.
  • Support client in fulfilling social and leisure activities
  • Assist with daily activities, including but not limited to meal preparation, personal care, domestic and other duties.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in personal care.
  • Experience with complex medical tasks (JEJ, PEG, injections).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A compassionate, patient, and understanding nature.
  • Ability to work effectively in a flexible and supportive manner.
  • Strong awareness of safeguarding adults and children.
  • Flexible approach to work, including nights.
  • Driving Licence (desirable)
  • Female (due to 1:1 care role).
