About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Complex Personal Care Assistant to provide comprehensive support to a lady in Dewsbury. This role demands a compassionate and reliable individual to assist with daily tasks and complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care tasks (washing, dressing, etc.).
- Support with domiciliary duties (meal preparation, cleaning).
- Administer medication (JEJ tubes, injections, syringe drivers).
- Provide IV line care (training provided).
- Participate in social and leisure activities (baking, knitting).
- Ensure the client maintains a safe and independent lifestyle.
- Develop a strong rapport based on trust and understanding.
- Support client in fulfilling social and leisure activities
- Assist with daily activities, including but not limited to meal preparation, personal care, domestic and other duties.
Skills and Expertise:
- Minimum 6 months experience in personal care.
- Experience with complex medical tasks (JEJ, PEG, injections).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A compassionate, patient, and understanding nature.
- Ability to work effectively in a flexible and supportive manner.
- Strong awareness of safeguarding adults and children.
- Flexible approach to work, including nights.
- Driving Licence (desirable)
- Female (due to 1:1 care role).
