About the Role:

Our client, a leading inpatient mental health provider, seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team in Greater Manchester. This role is focused on supporting individuals through their care pathway with a key objective of reducing readmissions and promoting long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop individualized care plans for service users to enhance skills.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
  • Assess and treat occupational dysfunction, developing targeted interventions.
  • Provide clinical and managerial supervision to junior staff.
  • Share leadership responsibilities and contribute to overall Occupational Therapy provision.
  • Participate in service development and maintain high standards of care.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Occupational Therapy (BSc or equivalent) qualification and current HCPC registration.
  • Experience in secure care, mental health, or similar setting.
  • Proven ability to assess and treat occupational dysfunction and develop person-centred interventions.
  • Experience in managing a diverse caseload and prioritizing workloads.
  • Experience in leadership or supervision, mentoring, teaching, or providing clinical supervision (preferred).
  • Experience with individuals with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities (preferred).
