About the Role:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing mechanical systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Thames Valley region. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the mechanical design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, encompassing outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Coordinate with electrical, civil, geotechnical, and process designers to ensure all aspects of the design are aligned and meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop efficient, practical, and safe solutions throughout all project stages.
- Effectively manage relationships with clients, ensuring projects are delivered to their satisfaction.
Skills and Expertise:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Progress towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., AutoCAD, relevant design software).
