About the Role:

Support Veolia’s Chilton Power Station maintenance and shift teams as an EC&I Technician, ensuring safety and compliance with environmental regulations. This role is key to maintaining the site’s electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Health and Safety matters for personnel, contractors and visitors.
  • Maintain electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment to meet site Environmental Permit compliance.
  • Conduct maintenance on DCS and PLC control systems, analogue and digital instrumentation, and protection systems.
  • Troubleshoot faults in DCS, PLC, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure ECI compliance and manage statutory activities like fixed wire testing and HV maintenance, PAT testing and calibrations.
  • Complete planned and reactive maintenance work, updating the CMMS.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels and create clear reports.
  • Provide training and monitor staff competence.
  • Administer safe systems of work and Health & Safety policies.
  • Adhere to Veolia’s Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems.
  • Undertake other tasks as requested by management.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience in EC&I maintenance in heavy industrial environments (e.g., waste-to-energy, power stations).
  • Knowledge of modern control and instrumentation systems.
  • Relevant Engineering qualification.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Multi-skilled technicians preferred.
