About the Role:
The Recruitment Co. urgently seeks Skilled Assembly Operatives for a long-term temporary position in Port Talbot. This role focuses on the final fix and filling sections of the warehouse, working with steel object fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed assembly work using hand tools and drills.
- Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in assembly.
- Follow instructions and measurements accurately.
- Demonstrate hard work and motivation.
- Handle bespoke product lines.
- Develop new skills.
- Complete hand finishing and quality checks.
- Manage basic paperwork and IT duties.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience with final fix assembly (preferred).
- Manufacturing experience (preferred).
- Strong DIY skills (preferred).
- Toolmaking skills (advantageous).
- Carpentry experience (advantageous).
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Basic IT skills.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Paid weekly (12.21/hour).
- Days: Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm and Friday 6am-12noon (40-hour paid week).
- Temporary long-term ongoing contract (6 months, potentially longer, with possible permanent conversion).
