About the Role:

The Harmony Trust seeks a dedicated IT Technician to provide support across all its academies. This role is crucial for maintaining a smooth and effective technology infrastructure, resolving issues promptly and ensuring a positive learning environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and test computer hardware, network operating systems, AV systems, software, and peripherals.
  • Resolve technical issues at the helpdesk and on-site at academies.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of diverse operating systems (e.g., Apple macOS, iOS, Windows).
  • Communicate effectively with various technical levels (staff, pupils, external companies).
  • Understand and manage VOIP telephony systems.
  • Operate within AD (Azure AD), Entra, DNS, DHCP, and other server environments.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships.
  • Prioritize workload and meet expectations set by line managers.
  • Adhere to data protection/GDPR, confidentiality, and IT security procedures.
  • Understand potential health and safety risks related to computer and electrical equipment.
  • Comply with safeguarding procedures in a child-focused environment.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience in installing, configuring, and testing computer hardware, network operating systems, and software.
  • Knowledge of different operating systems (e.g., Apple macOS, iOS, Windows).
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and prioritizing tasks.
