About the Role:
Look Ahead is seeking a compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Homelessness & Complex Needs service in Kensington & Chelsea. This role focuses on enabling vulnerable individuals to manage their lives and move towards greater independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload.
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks.
- Agree levels of support and actions.
- Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services.
- Support customers with domestic tasks and practical assistance.
- Ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
- Support customers through their move-on pathway.
- Develop and maintain links with key agencies and service providers.
- Empower customers to access services and benefits.
- Undertake administrative work and keep accurate records.
- Encourage rent payments and manage rent accounts.
- Ensure proactive referrals for housing opportunities.
- Engage in learning and development activities.
- Defuse challenging behaviour with awareness of personal safety.
- Adhere to Look Ahead’s Policies and Procedures.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Skills and Expertise:
- Legal eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience in social care (desirable).
- Up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent (desirable).
- Enjoys social interaction.

- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Calm and resilient, with sound judgment.
