About the Role:
The Pineheath Ward in Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated Clinical Support Worker to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adults with various rehabilitation needs. This role involves rotation between day and night shifts, and offers opportunities for training and development within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and promptly follow Registered Nurse instructions.
- Perform duties outlined in the trust’s Approved Core Task List for Clinical Support Workers within assessed competence.
- Report any patient concerns or observed clinical changes to registered staff.
- Support patient emotional well-being through positive conversations and ward-based activities.
- Accurately document all care provided, maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies, ensuring appropriate patient care.
- Adhere to trust policies, procedures, and nursing guidelines.
- Make patients feel welcome and assist with admission processes under Registered Nurse supervision.
- Maintain a clean and tidy clinical area, ensuring a safe environment.
- Adhere to trust infection control procedures.
- Support relatives under Registered Nurse guidance.
- Assist with patient discharge process under Registered Nurse or Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) direction.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience or completion of the Care Certificate in a care setting.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet patient needs.
- Ongoing commitment to personal development.
- Supervisory experience and/or training in supporting new staff.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
- Participation in training and supervision sessions, including clinical competencies (where applicable).
- Commitment to maintaining up-to-date mandatory training.
