About the Role:
This exciting opportunity allows a Junior Quantity Surveyor to kick-start their career with a well-established main contractor in Berkshire. You’ll gain experience managing projects and working with a team of experienced professionals, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards, meeting budget and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting Commercial and Pre-construction teams with tenders and project financial management
- Accurately collecting and processing information for project pricing
- Obtaining supplier prices for accurate tendering
- Returning estimate documents on time with supporting information
- Negotiating best prices for materials, plant and labour
- Attending site meetings, recording information for valuations, variations and as-built records
- Preparing and submitting interim valuations and final accounts
- Ensuring timely account settlement
- Preparing completed project costings
- Completing projects, including snagging and handover, and obtaining completion certificates
- Developing strong relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants and Suppliers
Skills and Expertise:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent construction experience
- Computer literacy
- Familiarity with Auto-Cad (desirable)
- Experience in basic surveying (desirable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
