About the Role:
Heritage Portfolio is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join their team at the V&A Dundee. This vital role supports the entire kitchen team, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of back-of-house areas and storage facilities.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, maximizing efficiency and longevity.
- Receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
- Assist in accurate record-keeping, security, and safe storage of deliveries.
- Adhere to fire regulations and procedures, assisting in evacuations as needed.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience as a Kitchen Porter in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent personal hygiene and presentation standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Casual contract offering flexibility.
- 12.00 per hour.
- Approximate working hours: 16 per week, but more as needed.
