About the Role:
Advance is seeking passionate and caring Support Workers in Poole to help customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, or mental health conditions to live fulfilling lives. This role offers a rewarding career in social care, with opportunities for training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
- Medication administration (if required)
- Supporting with preparing and cooking meals
- Supporting with attending medical appointments
- Supporting with social activities
- Supporting with independent skills
- Supporting with domestic duties (cleaning and laundry)
- Maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
- Keeping up to date with training requirements
Skills and Expertise:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent record-keeping skills
- Experience working with individuals with diverse needs (preferred but not essential)
- Willingness and ability to obtain the Care Certificate
- Literacy and numeracy skills in English
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to work between 7am and 10:30pm
- Ability to follow Support Plans and Risk Assessments
- Understanding of customer record-keeping procedures
