About the Role:

This part-time Family Wellbeing Worker role, based in Loughborough, will provide direct support to children and families facing diverse challenges. The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based parenting programmes to families with children aged 0-5, focusing on positive outcomes and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to families in the home.
  • Deliver parenting programmes, particularly to families with children aged 0-5.
  • Support families facing challenges and adversity.
  • Work to brief timescales, whilst delivering meaningful and measurable support.
  • Implement evidence-based practices.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g., social care, health, or childcare) or substantial experience in providing direct support to families.
  • Experience working with families experiencing parenting or behavior management difficulties.
  • Experience working with children, young people, and/or families.
  • Knowledge of issues impacting families (e.g., domestic violence, mental health, substance misuse, poverty, housing).
  • Knowledge of child development and Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Experience in assessments, support planning, action plan formulation, and reporting outcomes.
  • Understanding of the impact of discrimination on families from minority ethnic communities and those experiencing social exclusion.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Job Facilities/Benefits:

  • 31,074 – 33,294 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
  • 22.2 hours per week
  • Permanent contract
