About the Role:

Become a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant supporting a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a stimulating Liverpool primary school environment. You will assist with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation, working closely with the school manager and SENCO to deliver personalized activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a child’s communication, social skills, and emotional regulation, both in and out of school.
  • Plan and deliver personalized, fun activities tailored to the child’s needs and goals.
  • Work closely with the school manager, SENCO, and external agencies.
  • Communicate with parents to ensure consistent support and progress monitoring.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Relevant qualification in teaching assistance, childcare, or education (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, BTEC).
  • Experience working with children with ASD, preferably in an early years setting.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and SEN code of practice.
  • Strong communication, literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
  • Attributes of patience, empathy, creativity, and flexibility.
