About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our team in London. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the mechanical systems within a healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor mechanical plant (pumps, motors, seals, bearings).
- Maintain air conditioning systems (including air handling units/fan coil units).
- Manage water treatment systems (temperature checks/no dosing).
- Perform plumbing tasks (unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers).
- Monitor building management systems (BMS).
- Handle basic electrical duties (lamp changes).
- Perform general building fabric maintenance.
- Escort specialist subcontractors.
- Ensure plant and BMS checks are completed on time and issues are recorded.
- Execute preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with schedules.
- Maintain engineering standards and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Adhere to quality assurance procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Respond to reactive maintenance issues promptly.
Skills and Expertise:
- Mechanical qualifications (e.g., C&G, NVQ level 2&3).
- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
- Multi-skilled.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to start work at 07:00 am.
