About the Role:
Nightingale Nursing & Care Home, part of Jasmine Healthcare, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to lead a team in providing exceptional care to residents. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting older adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to residents in all aspects of daily living.
- Promote resident independence, choice, dignity, and respect, and prioritize their physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Lead shift teams, ensuring high standards of care are maintained and team members are supported.
- Complete daily medication rounds and document accurately.
- Promote good care practices and address any areas of concern.
- Conduct one-to-ones and investigate complaints/concerns.
Skills and Expertise:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ Level 3 minimum).
- Two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in a residential/nursing home setting.
- Understanding of Person-Centred Care Planning.
- Knowledge of abuse prevention and recognition.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to participate in additional training.
- Live within 30 minutes of Edwinstowe.
