About the Role:

This interim role seeks an experienced and skilled Enhanced Senior Social Worker to provide critical support to the MASH Hub in West Yorkshire. The successful candidate will analyze incoming referrals, determine appropriate intervention levels, and work closely with partner agencies to deliver effective outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key worker for a caseload of complex and statutory cases, adhering to safeguarding policies.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments, planning, and reviews of children in need, those in child protection plans, and children in care, using the Signs of Safety model and a child-focused approach.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and children to foster positive relationships, enabling informed decisions and active participation in service planning.
  • Analyze information to meet the ongoing needs of children, families, and carers.
  • Engage directly with children and young people to ensure that assessments and interventions reflect their perspectives.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Relevant social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, Dip in Social Work, or equivalent).
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Thorough understanding of relevant policies, legislation, government guidance, and best practice in social work, specifically within a Local Authority context.
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience, preferably with MASH experience.
  • Strong analytical and assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in keyboarding for accurate information processing.

Job Facilities/Benefits:

  • 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00.
  • 3-month temporary assignment, with potential for extension.
  • Hybrid working (following a probationary period) with some office-based work.
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
  • Competitive pay rate of 25.13 per hour PAYE.
