About the Role:
This Area Sales Manager role will drive sales growth in the South of England for a specialist sports and leisure surfacing company. You’ll be responsible for building relationships with key clients, supporting contractors, and expanding the customer base to meet 2025 growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of sales within a defined geographic area (Leicester to coast).
- Support and mentor existing surface contractors in business development.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities via consultants, architects, and end-user clients.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to architects, sports contractors, clubs, and communities.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to develop and execute new sales strategies.
- Track sales performance, monitor key orders, and analyze competitor activity.
Skills and Expertise:
- Solution-based sales experience in the sports surfacing or related industries.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to learn new sectors and client needs.
- Comfort covering a large geographic territory.
- Proven experience in sales and business development.
- Ability to track sales performance and report on key metrics.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Salary: 47,500 – 52,000 per year
- Uncapped commission (OTE: 57,500 – 64,000)
