About the Role:
Manage and oversee laboratory operations in Swansea, focusing on quality and efficiency. This role is crucial for the smooth running of the Laboratory Medicine Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the laboratory section.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards (UKAS, MHRA, IBMS).
- Manage staff performance and provide support.
- Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency.
- Monitor laboratory metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with other departments and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accreditation standards.
- Manage the laboratory budget and resources effectively.
Skills and Expertise:
- Extensive experience in laboratory management.
- Deep understanding of relevant laboratory procedures.
