About the Role:
Lead NatWest’s pricing strategy for merchant acquiring and open banking businesses (Tyl by NatWest and Payit). Drive profitability and customer volume growth through effective pricing policies and actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pricing strategy for merchant acquiring and open banking businesses.
- Maintain and grow portfolio profitability through pricing policies and actions.
- Identify pricing opportunities to optimize revenue and increase customer volumes.
- Lead pricing responses to cost change announcements.
- Conduct market benchmarking and research to ensure pricing appeals to target market.
- Provide leadership and management to the pricing team.
- Own interchange and scheme fee cost monitoring and allocation.
- Direct pricing model development for merchant acquiring and open banking products.
- Improve pricing functionality across technology platforms.
- Support product and marketing colleagues with commercial insights related to new products and promotions.
Skills and Expertise:
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with understanding of profit and loss.
- Experience in a commercial function within the payments industry, ideally in pricing.
- Experience supporting high-quality, complex projects.
- Proven ability to work effectively across business units and functions, managing risks.
- Experience in team building and leadership.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Analytical skills and strong problem-solving ability.
- Experience with pricing and transaction cost management (a plus).
