About the Role:
Join Amberley Castle as a Maintenance Manager, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of this historic luxury hotel. This hands-on role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the hotel, completing minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Handle various maintenance tasks including electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Train and supervise staff on maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Complete minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Recruit and train new maintenance staff.
- Participate in the Duty Manager rota.
- Assist with staff recruitment and onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience in a similar maintenance role in a hospitality environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Health & Safety expertise.
- Proficiency in electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Adaptability and flexibility to deal with unforeseen issues.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
