About the Role:

Join Amberley Castle as a Maintenance Manager, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of this historic luxury hotel. This hands-on role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the hotel, completing minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Handle various maintenance tasks including electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Train and supervise staff on maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
  • Complete minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Recruit and train new maintenance staff.
  • Participate in the Duty Manager rota.
  • Assist with staff recruitment and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience in a similar maintenance role in a hospitality environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Health & Safety expertise.
  • Proficiency in electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to deal with unforeseen issues.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
