About the Role:
Join our dynamic Central HR Team in Rotherham as a highly efficient HR Officer to lead and take ownership of Absence Management and/or Policy Development for our schools across the Trust. You will provide crucial support to the HR Manager/Senior Manager on all HR matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and clear HR advice on employment issues (discipline, grievance, capability, attendance, performance management, national/local conditions of service).
- Lead absence management, working with Headteachers to monitor attendance, implement formal procedures, and present at hearings.
- Create, implement, and maintain HR policies, ensuring legal compliance and best practices.
- Provide support to the HR Manager/Senior Manager on all HR matters.
- Provide timely and accurate reports, including staff attendance data.
Skills and Expertise:
- Relevant HR qualification or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in Absence Management and/or Policy Development (essential).
- Strong understanding of employment law and case law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in HR systems and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
