About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Safeguarding Officer to lead safeguarding initiatives within our academy. This role requires a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils and staff, working closely with pastoral teams to implement and deliver safeguarding support and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice, guidance, and support for pupils and staff related to safeguarding matters.
- Plan and implement interventions and support programs as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding best practices and policies, including relevant training.
- Deliver safeguarding training to academy staff.
- Work collaboratively with the designated safeguarding lead and team, and all academy staff to implement safeguarding policies and procedures.
Skills and Expertise:
- Significant experience and training in leading safeguarding within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding management.
- Experience in social care, targeted youth work, or wider inclusion (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
