About the Role:
Bridgemary School seeks a highly motivated and experienced SENDCo to drive improvements in intervention programs and student support. This pivotal role will play a key part in refining existing strategies to further enhance the learning outcomes of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective intervention programs for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Manage a diverse and complex workload related to student support and intervention.
- Lead and coordinate support for pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and dyslexia.
- Identify and support pupils with SEND, ensuring they receive appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with students, staff, parents, and external agencies.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with secondary school experience.
- National Award for SEN Coordination or SENDCo NPQ certification.
- Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
- Proven experience in identifying and supporting pupils with various SEND.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
