About the Role:
Absolute Interpreting & Translations is seeking skilled Tetum Interpreters for face-to-face engagements in Guildford, Surrey. This role involves bridging language barriers for patients, clients, and service providers in hospitals, councils, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional, high-quality, impartial, and confidential interpreting services.
- Engage with communities and facilitate communication between parties.
- Provide interpreting support at hospitals, schools, social services, solicitors, and other public/private sector organizations.
Skills and Expertise:
- Fluency in Tetum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in face-to-face interpreting.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances.
- Understanding of the interpreting code of conduct.
- A relevant qualification in interpreting is advantageous (optional).
