About the Role:

Encourage active, healthy lifestyles by delivering engaging swimming lessons in a safe and fun environment at Ladywood Leisure Centre. This part-time role provides opportunities to develop participants’ swimming abilities and enhance their safety in the water.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver swimming lessons tailored to each participant’s needs.
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and adherence to safety standards.
  • Identify and encourage participants’ potential.
  • Provide explanations and demonstrations of swimming techniques.
  • Correct participants’ technique and advise on improvement.

Skills and Expertise:

  • STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England Level 2 (or equivalent)
  • Strong swimming ability
  • Valid RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC, or STA Safety (or willingness to train)
  • Enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to go the extra mile
