About the Role:
Join a dedicated kitchen team at Aberbeeg, a low secure service for men, and assist in preparing meals and maintaining a safe working environment. This 6-month fixed-term position offers valuable experience in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist catering staff with meal preparation and cooking, adhering to company policies.
- Serve service users, staff, and visitors with food and beverages.
- Maintain storage procedures and stock rotation.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of all kitchen areas, equipment, and furniture.
- Maintain operational hygiene standards and comply with company policies.
- Liaise with the wider team, including dietitians, regarding dietary needs and meal plans.
Skills and Expertise:
- Relevant catering qualification (desirable).
- Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
