About the Role:
Join Voyage Care and enhance the lives of individuals in our Darlington residential service. As a dedicated support worker, you’ll play a vital role in fostering independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting individuals with personal care and daily living tasks.
- Developing and implementing individual support plans.
- Encouraging participation in social activities and community engagement.
- Supporting individuals to achieve personal goals and aspirations.
- Communicating effectively with individuals, families, and the wider support team.
- Following positive behaviour support plans (if applicable).
- Maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience in supporting individuals with disabilities or complex needs (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles (preferred).
- Resilience, flexibility, and composure.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience with individuals with autism or mental health needs (preferred).
