About the Role:
Locum Consultant Haematologist needed for Barnet General Hospital. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients of all ages with diverse conditions. The consultant will play a key role in patient management, clinical support, and educational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnosis, screening, treatment, and management of patient care.
- Actively support patients and their families, clearly communicating diagnoses and treatment options.
- Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe treatments.
- Provide constant monitoring and care for patients.
- Communicate with patients and multidisciplinary team members.
- Lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Prioritize patient needs, effectively delegate tasks.
- Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team.
- Perform administrative tasks such as record keeping, prescription writing, and treatment plan monitoring.
- Conduct research to improve procedures and patient outcomes.
- Teach and train junior doctors and medical students.
Skills and Expertise:
- GMC registered Doctor
- Consultant-level experience or evidence of transition to Consultant level
- Proof of UK Right to Work
- Successful Enhanced Background Check (DBS)
