About the Role:
Providing essential care and support to elderly individuals within their own homes, our community care worker plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those requiring assistance. This involves a range of support services to ensure the well-being and safety of our clients. Duties are performed on either single or double-up visits to improve the efficiency of our care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering care support from property to property for elderly individuals in their own homes.
- Administering medication as prescribed.
- Preparing meals and ensuring adequate nutrition.
- Providing personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, and continence management.
- Supporting daily activities and assisting with getting ready for the day/night.
- Working independently or as part of a team, covering shifts from 6am to 2pm, or 3pm to 10:30pm.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience in providing care to the elderly.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong empathy and understanding of elderly care needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client dignity.
- Physical capability to perform demanding tasks involving assistance with mobility and care.
