About the Role:

Advance is seeking caring and dedicated Support Workers in Hackney, London to support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, or mental health conditions. This role offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
  • Ensuring premises security and safety during the night
  • Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
  • Medication administration (if required)
  • Supporting independent living skills
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
  • Keeping up-to-date with training
  • Conducting regular checks on customers for safety
  • Supporting with domestic duties (cleaning, laundry)

Skills and Expertise:

  • Caring and compassionate attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience and/or willingness to achieve Care Certificate
  • Literacy and numeracy in English
  • Ability to complete quality support records
  • Ability to follow support plans and risk assessments
  • Experience with customers who have learning disabilities or autism (preferred)
