About the Role:
As a Unit Manager at HC-One, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to residents in a specific unit within our care home. Your leadership will ensure the highest standards of resident care and wellbeing, especially when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent. You will play a key role in creating a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure residents receive the highest quality of care and support, always maintaining their dignity and well-being.
- Manage the unit effectively, including staff allocation, resource management, and daily operations.
- Monitor resident needs, reporting any changes or concerns to the relevant personnel.
- Administer medications and support residents with their personal care needs.
- Implement and adhere to all relevant care policies and procedures.
- Ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans.
- Lead and motivate team members through excellent communication and support.
- Identify and address any potential risks or incidents.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven leadership experience in a care home setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
- Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Knowledge of care policies, procedures and regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems for care management.
