About the Role:
Juniper Training seeks a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant and Employability Tutor in Telford. This full-time position (Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:30, Friday 8:30-2:30) offers support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and develops their employability skills, providing a salary of up to 26.5k per annum, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to students with SEND.
- Assist students in developing employability skills and workplace readiness.
- Plan and deliver engaging vocational training sessions.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create inclusive learning environments.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of support sessions and interventions.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEND.
- Knowledge of vocational training and employability skills development.
- Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills.
- Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or training delivery are desirable but not essential.
- Passion for helping students overcome barriers and achieve success.
