About the Role:
Support pupils aged 4-11 with SEMH needs in East Leeds. This full-time, ongoing position offers the chance to make a difference in the lives of at-risk students and provide vital 1:1 support for their educational progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Implement positive behavior management strategies, such as Team Teach.
- Support the student’s emotional and social development.
- Promote positive reinforcement for desired behaviors.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience in an educational setting (mainstream or alternative provision).
- Experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude.
- Understanding of SEMH needs and appropriate support strategies.
