About the Role:

Support pupils aged 4-11 with SEMH needs in East Leeds. This full-time, ongoing position offers the chance to make a difference in the lives of at-risk students and provide vital 1:1 support for their educational progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Implement positive behavior management strategies, such as Team Teach.
  • Support the student’s emotional and social development.
  • Promote positive reinforcement for desired behaviors.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience in an educational setting (mainstream or alternative provision).
  • Experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude.
  • Understanding of SEMH needs and appropriate support strategies.
