About the Role:
Provide urgent care and support to children and their families in a fast-paced Accident & Emergency environment. Utilize specialized skills to make a difference in the lives of young patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide urgent care and support to children and their families.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and visitors.
- Persuade patients and families to cooperate with treatment.
- Manage anxious relatives.
- Ensure parental/carer and child agreement/negotiation of care (when appropriate).
Skills and Expertise:
- Minimum 6 months paid experience in Paediatric A&E Nursing within the last 3 years.
- NMC Professional Registration.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current nursing practices.
- Paediatric Nursing Degree.
