About the Role:

Assist a registered Occupational Therapist (OT) in delivering recreational activities to patients on Henneage Ward. Activities will include one-on-one and group sessions focusing on creative, social, and physical well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead recreational activities for patients, individually and in groups.
  • Prepare activity materials and equipment.
  • Maintain activity supplies and report stock shortages.
  • Develop rapport with patients, encouraging participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapy, nursing, and other multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Seek opportunities for volunteer involvement.
  • Observe patient responses and report any concerns.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Document interventions according to established procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience in mental health preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse patient populations.
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care.
