About the Role:

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their dynamic Telephone Triage team. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and triaging patients presenting with various illnesses, providing a crucial first point of contact for urgent care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and triage patients via telephone.
  • Provide telephone advice and support to patients.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with relevant guidance.
  • Request and interpret tests as needed.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver high-quality urgent care to patients.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Registered Nurse with Advanced Clinical Practice qualifications.
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration experience.
  • 1 year recent experience in general practice or minor illness care.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) qualifications.
  • Strong telephone triage skills.
  • Autonomous practice within a multidisciplinary team.
