About the Role:
As an Assistant Commercial Manager, you will support project teams in managing commercial contracts, ensuring value for money and regulatory compliance for a major infrastructure project in London. Your role is crucial for the successful delivery of the Sizewell C nuclear new build project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial contracts, ensuring value for money and regulatory compliance.
- Support procurement activities, contract management, and supplier relationships.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project.
- Manage risk effectively.
- Develop supply chain procurement strategies for projects.
- Negotiate high-value contracts.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations.
- Manage the tendering and award of high-value multidiscipline contracts.
- Support stakeholder management with Senior Management and various stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough bid process management, including supplier sourcing, documentation, evaluation, and selection.
Skills and Expertise:
- Relevant experience in procurement, commercial or contract management.
- Demonstrable responsibility and experience.
- Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) membership or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience developing supply chain procurement strategies.
- Sound understanding of contract and commercial law.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience in bid process management.
- Experience in negotiating high value contracts.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
