About the Role:
Durham Law School and the Department of Economics seek a highly motivated candidate to contribute to the JusTN0W initiative, focused on just transitions to a Net Zero world. This interdisciplinary role combines research, teaching, and engagement with key partners to address climate change and sustainability challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality research in the economics of environmental sustainability.
- Develop and deliver engaging teaching sessions to students.
- Engage with the wider academic community and external partners.
- Contribute to grant capture and funding initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
- Participate in and lead workstreams relevant to the JusTN0W initiative.
- Effectively communicate research findings and project outcomes.

Skills and Expertise:
- Proven research experience in economics of environmental sustainability.
- Strong understanding of legal and governance aspects surrounding sustainability.
- Exceptional teaching and communication skills.
- Experience in collaborating with diverse teams in interdisciplinary research.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
