About the Role:

This Business Architect role provides a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with key business stakeholders, creating a wide network across the bank. You will define the intentional architecture for your assigned scope, ensuring the business operating model and its aligned business capabilities support enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining, creating, and maintaining business architect models, roadmaps, and outcomes, aligning with higher-level models.
  • Analysing business strategy and the wider business environment, identifying long-term business capabilities and translating them into business and customer outcomes.
  • Gaining agreement and buy-in among key stakeholders through exceptional communication skills.
  • Coordinating business design and aligning it with platform teams.
  • Influencing business strategy development, identifying transformational opportunities.
  • Assessing portfolio and product backlogs to ensure alignment with business strategies and capabilities.
  • Leveraging knowledge of financial services, other organisations, and technology trends to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Researching and staying up-to-date with industry best practices, technology, and customer trends.
  • Managing the repository of business architecture models, business capability models, roadmaps, standards, and outcomes.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience defining capabilities and roadmaps for complex enterprises.
  • Background working with business solution vendors, technology vendors, and products.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and contemporary methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to all levels.
  • Understanding of industry capability frameworks (e.g., Agile P3M).
  • Experience defining, measuring, and articulating business capabilities.
  • Experience developing, syndicating, and communicating architectures, designs, and proposals.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
