About the Role:
At Hamberley, we are recruiting a passionate Care Assistant (Homemaker) to provide exceptional care to our residents at Upton Manor Care Home in Dorset. This role offers the chance to make a real difference to the lives of older people, tailoring care to each individuals needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care and companionship to residents.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care and medication administration.
- Create a supportive and engaging environment for residents.
- Manage individual resident needs.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure consistent high-quality care.
- Document and report on resident care and progress.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience as a healthcare assistant, care assistant, or similar role (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of dementia care and/or elderly care practices (desirable).
- Commitment to high standards of care and resident wellbeing.
- Understanding of care processes and policies.
