About the Role:
Provide compassionate care to residents in a residential care home. Offer support and enhance the well-being of our residents in a dementia, nursing, residential or specialist care setting. This role demands both physical and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care activities, including washing, dressing, and hygiene.
- Assist residents with meals and feeding.
- Support residents with their emotional needs, ensuring their dignity and individuality are maintained.
- Participate in general activities within the care home.
- Report any concerns or potential signs of abuse, harm, or neglect.
- Comply with all safeguarding procedures and training requirements.
Skills and Expertise:
- Empathy and compassion towards residents.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and understanding.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move residents when required.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
